The Ego designer kitchen is Abimis’s icon product. With Ego, designed by Alberto Torsello, Abimis defines a new concept of the designer kitchen by restyling cooking spaces and designing them with a contemporary twist.
The Ego designer kitchen by Abimis constitutes pure design. Its rounded and elemental silhouettes lend the entire surrounding setting uniqueness and elegance.
PURE DESIGN
The uniqueness of the Ego line can be seen in the flush door fully integrated into the structure. The patented hinging pivot was designed specifically not to require any adjustment. The stainless steel worktop can be integrated or with separate top plate, always joint-free. In the Ego line, the kitchen can be produced with the orbitally polished finish, mirror finish, or painted in any colour, without any limitations to your colourful imagination.
Abimis favours movement: every task performed should be smooth, simple and consequential. Everything has a place, each component in its ideal position, devised to be immediately useful and usable, without wasting time, because all available time should be for cooking.
Its design stands out for the rounded silhouettes, inspired by 1950s kitchens.
5 STEPS OF COOKING
A KITCHEN DEVISED TO REVOLVE AROUND THE COOK’S MOVEMENTS
Abimis kitchens stem from a study of a chef’s movements around the kitchen and then breaking them down. The aim is to make the 5 steps of cooking – preserving, preparing, cooking, dishing up and washing up – straightforward and consequential. To offer the tools of the trade of the greatest chefs to home cooks.
This new idea of cooking stems from the partnership between Abimis and several professional figures: the cook, the designer and the ergonomics expert. Each one contributed to the design with their own skills, know-how and expertise. Cooks provided insights on how a chef interacts with the kitchen. The ergonomics experts and designers interpreted these insights, creating an attractive and functional kitchen. The company then processed stainless steel, making the project take shape.
1 STORAGE
Preserving food: this is step one of the cooking process. - Fresh food is vital in the kitchen; this is why ingredients should be preserved correctly, paying particular attention to hygiene. - Abimis offers several solutions to guarantee safe and optimised preservation of food. - The refrigerated compartments use professionally-derived technology to ensure perfect food preservation. - The cold control system is designed to modulate the temperature of the various compartments and monitor their status at all times. - All the compartments are designed to accommodate Gastronorm containers and the shelves slide out completely.
