The Cha Cha Full Set dance their way into luxe hospitality environments by South African Iconic furniture designer Haldane Martin.
Cha Cha Occasional Tables’ functional fabrication makes them idyllic statement pieces for the modern interior or outdoors, coming in a full spectrum of chi-chi colours or modish electro-plated stainless steel.
These minimalist Memphis-like plinths create the illusion of movement. Because of the closely spaced stainless steel rods, line Moire patterns form on the columnated base. They Cha Cha back and forth as the eyes glide around the fluted table base. Optic effects of the dancing base contrast with uber simple table tops – Slivered disks in monochromatic colour.
In addition to stainless steel disks, table tops are also available in trendy terrazzo for outdoors. The Cha Cha Full Set comprises of five tables with varied heights & diameters.
As sleek stand alone pieces, they’re compelling expressions of intense colour. Alternatively, when playfully combined, they form contemporary customizable compositions. Designed with the South African lifestyle in mind, the Cha Cha occasional tables are suited to outdoor living, handling the African elements & durable in extreme environments.
Made from stainless-steel and coated in UV-resistant pure polyester with a luxurious satin ferro-grain finish, they are a paragon of beauty & versatility. As in the name, the Cha-Cha tables move easily from one form to another. For example: A snack table on a metropolitan patio or flamboyant display tables. A centre-piece in the urban monochromatic living-room or functional plinths in the public garden.

Iconic South African furniture and interior designer, Haldane Martin is internationally renowned for work with a powerful sense of identity. His designs are heralded as culturally significant contributions to the South African design language. His early works (Zulu Mama chair, Fiela lights, Songololo sofa) drew major recognition, exploring contemporary African culture, sustainability and biomimicry.
