GRIP BASIC
GRIP is a versatile range of tables for home or o#ce use, canteens and conferences rooms.
A long central beam supports the surface of the table, while a “grip” system has been devised for the legs. The legs can log onto the beam at any location, allowing $exibility in the installation of the table.
The long beam pro"le provides an impressively long span between the two legs – up to 3 meter – emphasizing the unusually light and airy appearance of the GRIP table.
DESIGNER
TROELS GRUM-SCHWENSEN
Troels Grum-Schwensen was educated at the School of Architecture at the Academy of Art. He graduated in 1986 and established his own design office in 1989 specialising in architecture, interior design and furniture design.
”Furniture is an architectural item which – in a clear and simple way – has to adapt to the room and the people using it. At the same time it has its own independent and final shape – like a sculpture". Troels Grum-Schwensen has received a number of prizes and recognition for his furniture design – in 1997 he received a three-year-grant from Statens Kunstfond (State Art Fund).
FEATURES
INSPIRED BY TIGHTROPE WALKERS
The GRIP table’s design is inspired by tightrope walkers who balance by means of a long pole to defy gravity. Like the tightrope walkers, GRIP’s innovative design becomes more stable the more weight is added.

The GRIP table has won the Danish Design Award in 2012 and the AZ Award in 2015.
