An enduring feature of university teaching rooms, the Athena is designed specifically to maximise space. The Athena provides comfortable seating for students and is available in a variety of customised finishes and layouts.
The design incorporates a fixed writing ledge with a fixed seat back and sprung tip-up seat. It is ideally suited for use on our bespoke structural tiering, with this seat a staple in many educational establishments.
Athena seat centres can be customised to provide excellent capacity and generous seat space, whilst a small closed depth can overcome issues with tight spaces.

BACKREST
Inner panel shall be made of 7plys @ 13 mm thick plywood covered with high resilience foam, density 45 kg/m³. Upholstered with padded cover.
STANDARDS
Centre and end standards are of lateral pedestal design made of 38mm x 38mm x Thk 2.3mm square hollow section continuous welded to a 6mm thickness steel plate.

METAL FINISHING
-All metal parts are coated with an epoxy finish of at least 60 microns for indoor use. -All metal parts exposed shall be stripped and cleaned with iron phosphate, hot water rinsed and then chromic acid rinsed.

18mm thickness wooden table and wooden front panel with maica laminated and PVC black edging.

- Fully upholstered seat with padded cover.
- Tip- up seat with counterweight systems and being lift-up by means of gravity. Totally silent and maintenance free.
- Inner structure made of Ø21mm x Thk. 2.6mm tubular steel frame, integrated with grid foundation in HR foams with a density of 60 kg/m3.
