SHINE DAYBED
SHINE DAYBED
Designed By Arik Levy
The modern, quintessential lines of Arik Levy's Shine collection are designed for both the Home and Contract sectors.
A blend of unfaltering design and aluminium gives a light, airy feeling of ideal comfort. Stackable armchairs, chairs and sun loungers with teak armrests are also available in an interesting combination of an aluminium structure and FSC 100% teak seat.
The Shine collection also includes tables, high tables and stools, which also offer a choice of teak seats to complement your dining and relaxation areas. A sun lounger, daybed and 2-seater sofa complete the collection.
DESIGNER
ARIK LEVY
“Creation is an uncontrolled muscle” according to Arik Levy (born 1963).
Artist, technician, photographer, designer, video artist, Levy’s skills are multi-disciplinary and his work can be seen in prestigious galleries and museums worldwide.
Best known publicly for his sculptures – such as his signature Rock pieces -, his installations, limited editions and design, Levy nevertheless feels “The world is about people, not objects.”
Hailing originally from Israel and moving to Europe after his first participation in a group sculpture exhibition in Tel-Aviv in 1986, Levy currently works in his studio in Paris.
His formation was unconventional where surfing, as well as his art and graphic design studio, took up much of his time back home.
Following studies at the Art Center Europe in Switzerland he gained a distinction in Industrial Design in 1991. The creation of his studio then meant a foray back to his first love, art and industrial design, as well as other branches of his talents.
After a stint in Japan where he consolidated his ideas producing products and pieces for exhibitions, Levy returned to Europe where he contributed his artistry to another field – contemporary dance and opera by way of set design.
Considering himself now more of a “feeling” artist, Arik Levy continues to contribute substantially to our interior and exterior milieu, his work including public sculpture, as well as complete environments that can be adapted for multi use.
“Life is a system of signs and symbols,” he says, “where nothing is quite as it seems.”

EMU-TEX
It is a technical fabric for outdoor use made with polyvinyl chloride thread. It features exceptional strength to ensure durability: maximum resistance to UV rays, the elements, humidity and sudden changes in temperature.
MATERIALS MAINTENANCE
To keep the product in good condition for a long time, we recommend cleaning it regularly; more often in very damp locations with a marine climate. It is recommended to clean the surfaces using a soft cloth with water or mild detergents. Prolonged and continuous exposure to intense UV radiation or very low temperatures can affect the initial characteristics of the coloured coating, which is made from polyester. We recommend cleaning and storing the products in sheltered places during prolonged periods of non-use and during the winter.

Prolonged and continuous exposure to intense UV radiation or very low temperatures can affect the initial characteristics of the coloured coating, which is made from polyester.
We recommend cleaning and storing the products in sheltered places during prolonged periods of non-use and during the winter. Avoid prolonged contact with greasy substances and/or dyes, which may be absorbed by the coating material, causing permanent staining and deterioration of the yarn structure. Frequent washing: use water and non-abrasive, colourless liquid detergents with neutral PH.
Leave the detergent to react for a few minutes, if required Rinse thoroughly with water at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. If pressurised devices are used, keep the diffuser tip at least 60/70 cm away from the surface of the item.
Repeat the operation if necessary. Periodic and/or extraordinary washing: use a regenerating stain remover for PVC, following the procedure below. Operations to be performed:
–Apply the stain remover to the dirty fabric; –Allow the product to act for 15-30 minutes; –Rub the stained area using a common hard-bristle laundry brush (phase is necessary since the dirt is inside the weaving); –Rinse with running water (if possible rinse using a high-pressure cleaner, remaining at a distance of approx. 60 cm so as not to damage the fabric with the high pressure); –Repeat the operations if necessary.
