HELIOS OUTDOOR KITCHEN
Designed by Vincent Van Duysen
The Helios outdoor kitchen encapsulates Italian craftsmanship combined with innovative technology, making it suitable for outdoor use.
Its clean, rigorous lines and monolithic yet discreet impact allow it to be combined with both the Landmark and Timeout collections, in which — thanks to the wide choice of finishes — it echoes a selection of materials, enriching them.
Textures with a material feel reminiscent of natural stone, ceramic, teak wood or steel finishes, for a wide array of choices that allow for extensive customisation, making it suitable for different styles and environments. The colour palette draws inspiration not only from the world of natural tones, but also from a more classic range of whites and greys.
DESIGNER
VINCENT VAN DUYSEN
Vincent Van Duysen was born in 1962, in Lokeren, Belgium and graduated in architecture at the Higher Institute of Architecture Sint-Lucas, in Ghent. From 1986 to 1989 he worked in Milan and Brussels.
He opened his own studio in Antwerp, in 1990 focusing on architecture and interior design. The relationship between interior design and architecture in his work is profound.
Furnishings and accessories are designed with an architectural perspective that is not limited by form, but is expressed with a careful perception of interior space and its relationship to the exterior architecture.
By interpreting architecture and redefining its proportions, Van Duysen creates objects of great purity and simplicity that still retain a concrete character and solid form.
Vincent Van Duysen Architects has authored many works including its first project in the Belgium hotel industry and numerous major international projects. These include residential projects in London, New York and Milan, offices in Beirut and Riyadh, and top-range commercial spaces in Paris, Rome and Hong Kong. Vincent Van Duysen designed the Gliss Master cabinet system and the Ribbon bed for Molteni&C.
Protection is something very important that we all need and that is something that I want to translate into my architectural and design work”
