Classicon Notos Standing Desk
NOTOS STANDING DESK
NOTOS STANDING DESK
Designed by Thomas Kühl & Andreas Krob
Notos is an essential object in a household or office where artistically inclined persons live and work. That is because this unprecedented, multifunctional piece of furniture transforms itself in no time into a standing desk or a note stand or an easel or a mobile table for the slide presentation or for your champagne reception.
The top can be tilted at five different angles and the height is infinitely variable between 115 and 135 cm. Thomas Kühl and Andreas Krob succeeded in combining high practical use, variability and clear, timeless aesthetics in a design achievement of remarkable quality.
DESIGNERS
THOMAS KÜHL & ANDREAS KROB
Following their studies of industrial design at the Muthesius School of Arts and Crafts in Kiel, Andreas Krob and Thomas Kühl got together as a design duo for a short time in 1996.
Their collaboration resulted in amazing objects with sophisticated technical details. Andreas Krob began his training as a civil engineer, and Thomas Kühl with an apprenticeship as a carpenter.
In 1991, they met during their industrial design studies at the Muthesius School of Arts and Crafts in Kiel and continued to work together for a short time after graduating.
They combined their ideas into sophisticated technical details in metal and wood. Today, Kühl lives and works as a free-lance designer in Hamburg. Andreas Krob – following positions as development manager for various German companies – founded the design studio b4K together with his wife, architect Uta Krob, based in Switzerland.
