IGMAN MINI LOUNGE CHAIR
Harri Koskinen
Igman Mini Lounge Chair by Harri Koskinen is a final edition to the Igman family of chairs, which includes Igman Lounge Chair and Igman dining chair.
Mini Lounge Chair was made to enable comfortable lounge sitting in areas with limited space, such as hotel rooms or residential spaces where a small corner can be turned into a comfortable nook.
This lightweight chair combines a solid wood frame and a removable soft seat & backrest upholstered in either vegetable-tanned 2.2mm thick saddle leather or a choice of fabrics. The refined hand-carved details on the flat-cut surfaces of the armrests and the back beam add to the chair’s character and tactility.

DETAIL
CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF NATURAL LEATHER
Water and other substances are absorbed by natural leather and may leave stains. Stains caused by water are less visible on an already aged leather. If these stains are a concern, one should avoid wetting of surfaces made in natural leather. When some water is spiller, to minimize staining, one should use a slightly damp cloth to wipe out the area where the water was spilled and the wider surface should also be wiped in this way. In general, this is how natural leather should be cleaned.
NATURAL LEATHER AND HOW IT AGES
Natural or uncoated leather is made of skin hides (most often cow hides) through the so called tanning process. During the tanning process, hides are treated with natural tannins and starts out as a light cream color similar to the color of light human skin. The more the leather is exposed to direct sunlight the darker it gets, similar to human skin. Natural leather will, among other things, absorb oils from human skin. This relationship between the material and the owner is what makes the aging process of the raw leather so unique. The older the natural skin gets the more character it will have and the more beautiful it will look for most people. Perfectly even and refined looking surface is not a characteristic of natural leather and this natural look is exactly what Igman chair designer Harri Koskinen was looking for.
WOOD
All wood used in Zanat’s products comes from sustainably managed forests or private fruit orchards (walnut and cherry). FSC certificates for forest-originating wood are available upon request. Moreover, in 2021 Zanat undertook a commitment to plant three new trees for every tree we used to produce our products.
Color variations and small healthy knots in wood are indications of material authenticity and cannot be considered a defect. Wood is a hygroscopic material which absorbs and sheds moisture to adopt to the humidity of the environment in which it is placed and it expands or shrinks as a consequence. To minimize checking and cracking, all Zanat products should be kept indoors (outdoors use is OK if protected from precipitation and direct sunlight) and air humidity should not be less than 40% or more than 70%. Humidity outside this range is not optimal for human health and can result in product damage.
