Växa is a year-round, indoor-outdoor design that makes an elegant addition to any outdoor courtyard, terrace or interior setting. Växa’s reinforced concrete form is decorated with a trailing flower pattern cast in relief. The planter is made with a detachable lining, making it easier to re-pot plants or move them into the greenhouse in winter. Växa is equipped with an irrigation tank.

MAINTENANCE
Both normal concrete and fibre-reinforced concrete are sensitive to hard edge impacts. A concrete product that has been damaged can be repaired with polyester filler, such as the product “Plastic Padding”.

COLOR
Light gray uncoloured concrete
CONCRETE
Concrete is cement mixed with crushed stone or aggregate. The material is very strong in compression but fragile in tension. To compensate for this concrete can be reinforced, often with steel.
MATERIAL AND SURFACE TREATMENT
The planter is made in reinforced concrete. The inner container is made in 4 mm fibreglass fitted with a foldable handles made of galvanized steel.

SISSA SUNDLING
Sissa Sundling, Master of Fine Arts in Design from HDK in 1999, has since worked with product design. Ikea was her biggest customer and has created hundreds of products on their behalf that can be found in homes around the world. Between 2009 and 2014 she was the first designer at Sandberg Tyg&Tapet and since 2014 she has been working as design manager at Boråstapeter.
