The Portofino reimagines the classic Chester sofa by deconstructing it to make it contemporary and modular.
Composed by a variety of elements, this sofa becomes an object of memory and at the same time innovative, adaptable to a multiple variety of contexts.

STEFANO GIOVANNONI
Born in La Spezia, lives and works in Milan.
Stefano graduated in architecture at the University of Florence, and is the designer who has worked more than any other in the world of home accessories and kitchenware.
He collaborated with companies like Alessi, Amore Pacific, Cedderoth, Deborah, Fiat, Hannstar, Hansemm, Helit, Henkel, Honeywell, Kokuyo, Inda, Laufen, Lavazza, LG Hausys, Magis, Mika-kuto, NTT Docomo, Oras, Oregon Scientific , Pepsico, Pulsar, Samsung, Seiko, Siemens, Sodastream, 3M, Telecom, Toto, Veneta Cucine, and many others.
He designed very successful products that have broken all sales records in the design field such as the Girotondo collections (over 10 million units sold) and Mami, the famous products of "FFF" series for Alessi, the Alessi-one bathroom ware, and the Bombo family for Magis.
Thanks to his ability to intercept the tastes of the general public, he has been named "The Champion of super and popular of the 2000s" (A. Alessi), "Most designers bankable" (E. Perazza), "Design King Midas" ( C. Morozzi).Stefano Giovannoni is the Art Director of Ghidini1961.

SOFI FABRIC
Warp and weft create a grid of frisé linen and viscose cablé for a rich effect accompanied by a warm colouring.
REVIVE FABRIC
Revive 1 is a vibrant upholstery textile designed by georgina wright. Made from post-consumer recycled polyester (pet), it is especially created with a focus to reduce the environmental impact both in production and natural resources.
CLUNIS FABRIC
Wool bouclé creates an attractive and modern texture summed up in an elegant structured plain that plays on the refractive effects of the fibres it is made of. The result is one of the most up-to-date and sought-after designs of the moment.
SINEQUANON FABRIC
Panama weave with slightly shot yarns. A special, careful blend of linen and viscose and a new construction which enables a reduction of the textile weight whilst guaranteeing the aesthetic quality, usage and durability, and also offering good value.

ADAMO & EVA VELVET
An exquisite quality of italian-made cotton velvet that is soft, versatile and hard-wearing. A palette of 19 colours comprising striking, traditional and neutral shades.
TWILLTWENTY FABRIC
A classic twill. A particularly thick thread/yarn highlights the “z” diagonal motif which makes the fabric more dynamic. The shiny and matt threads enhance the effect of the light on the surface.
TIVANO FABRIC
Tivano is a semi-aniline leather with a hand-buffed finishing and a stone-washed effect. Produced with cattle of european origin, it has a thickness of 1.2-1.4 mm. The size of each skin is about 5 sqm. Due to the technical characteristics of the finish it is not possible to grant high surface resistance to rubbing or light.
Furthermore, the particular processing does not guarantee uniformity of colour between different batches.
BOGARDINE FABRIC
Yarns of different types and thicknesses create a textural weave and confer a slight matelassé effect to the surface.
Soft and consistent to the hand, hardwearing and ideal for heavy duty seating.
SAFIRE FABRIC
Safire’s coarse surface structure gives a subtle handwoven appearance that is both unique and dynamic, adding a special and unique dimension to this upholstery fabric.
The thick boucle and chenille yarns contribute to its wooly handle and soft appeal but also gives a vibrant two-tone effect.
CLAY FABRIC
Bringing together both natural beauty and a sense of finesse, this elegant yet casual fabric has a unique structured surface that adds and extra dimension to any interior design scheme.
With a back cloth that gives extra stability, clay is perfect for upholstering furniture.
