It brings with it the allure of a name evoking timeless style and grace. The new armchair Garbo, inspired to the classic model bergére, reinterprets the timeless elegance of the past in a modern twist, emphasizing shapes and proportions which guarantee comfort and versatility.

Equipped with a large and comfortable backrest and side lying headrests laid on a thin wooden structure, this new armchair, is characterized by a functional and sophisticated design. Its soft lines have been specifically designed to fit the body and wrap it gently, ensuring an extreme relaxation.

Perfect for the living room furniture as well as for the office, Garbo knows how to give to its surroundings an atmosphere of simple elegance and satisfy the taste and most different styles without ever losing in character and beauty.

DESIGNER

UMBERTO ASNAGO

Umberto Asnago (1949), qualified from the school of Art of Cantù, begins the experience of designer with company Giorgetti SpA in 1968, of which he later assume the direction of the Research Centre.

In 2006 he left the company Giorgetti and began his career of designer, combining the business of art director and designer for company Penta lighting.

Since 2011 returns to collaborate with company Giorgetti as designer, and also he collaborates with companies Arflex, Besana, Gruppo Industriale Busnelli, Mobilidea, Ivano Redaelli, i 4 Mariani and Porada. He also works with exhibitions’ mounting and retail in Italy and in the world.

The experience developed in all these years, working with different typology of companies and with well-known architects and intellectual people make Umberto Asnago the right figure to professionally deal with the fast changes that characterize the furniture industry.

BASE

In Beech Plywood Panel Curved Into A Mould. The Backrest And Armrests Frame Is Upholstered With Cold Formed Polyu-rethane Parts Made In Mould, Glued To The Frame. The Foam Complies With The Italian Classe 1 Im Fire Resistant Law And Is Available On Request For Other International Standards. The Outside Part Of The Backrest And Armrests Is Available Covered In Fabric Or Leather, In Veneered Of Black Walnut Wood Or Of Ebony Type Wood Or Else Lacquered Ral Color.

CUSHIONS

Seat Cushion In Resilient Polyurethane Foam Cfc-free Covered By Polyester Wadding.

FRAME

In tubular steel. The webbing is secured by elastic polypropylene and natural latex belts fixed to the metal frame. The frame is embedded in cold formed polyurethane made in mould with density of 60 kg/m³. The foam complies with the Italian Classe 1IM fire resistant law and is available on request for other international standards. The backrest is covered by polyester wadding.
