To the VAO sofa and armchair collection – part of the Greenkiss lines dedicated to projects with a green soul – the new upholstered bed has been added, with sinuous shapes and generous dimensions and in harmony with the mood of the collection.
DESIGNER
THIERRY LEMAIRE
Architect, interior designer, Thierry Lemaire is above all an aesthete. For the past twenty years, he has successfully achieved the remodelling of deluxe apartments and private houses, conveying to each venue his strong and identifiable signature.
A connoisseur of 20th and 21st century Decorative Arts, an inquisitive talent scout, in 2017 he opened an eponymous gallery in Paris to showcase his made-to-measure furniture, along with the work of different artists, in osmosis with his own universe.
PAOLO CASTELLI
Inclined towards design by his cultural background and natural passion, Paolo Castelli began designing successful products for his family’s company – Domodinamica – which he joined first in a management role and later took over as Paolo Castelli SPA.
His love for design combined with an entrepreneurial vision of the entire product cycle, allow Paolo Castelli to conceive collections and pieces where the creative side is always accompanied by a concrete approach aimed at finding the best technical and aesthetic solutions.
HUBERT DE MALHERBE
Founder and Creative Director at Malherbe Paris. Hubert de Malherbe built up Malherbe Paris in 1993.
This independent creative agency first focus was on retail design and architecture with a large scope of expertise ranging from the luxury and fashion worlds to hotels, airports and malls.
In the late 2000s, the booming agency opens up two more offices, in Shanghai and Hong-Kong, launching a worldwide acclaimed success. Malherbe Paris designs have expanded to an even greater variety of projects : from architecture, furniture, aeronautics, wine & spirits to a deep passion for environmental stakes. With about 180 employees, the start-up spirit is still intact. Malherbe Paris has learnt how to keep all its skilled fanciful creativity.
A requiring, ultramodern aesthetics mixing up a legendary intuition with the French elegance, rooting -some say- in prehistoric times.

MATERIALS
The bed has structure and legs in eco-sustainable solid ash while the upholstered headboard and bed frame are made with organic rubber and natural padding. Even the bouclé wool has a natural soul. Vao has two lateral “wings” that embrace the bedside tables.
