Stacking was designed by Rockwell Group using the idea of modular, individually handblown glass cylinders in distinct combinations of colors and sizes.
These glass modules are made with a traditional Venetian handblown glass technique called “incamiciato” (Italian for “jacketed” or “layered”), where a Maestro glass blower uses multiple layers of glass, each of different transparencies and properties.
When combined, these modules build and overlap colors and opacities, creating sophisticated atmospheric lighting. A gold or chrome base is the light source of the lamp and gives balance to the decorative column.
