Fold out is the outdoor version of the fold collection designed by andrea gelpí of blaumel studio. Fold out can be placed both indoors and outdoors (it has ip65) as it is a rechargeable battery-operated luminaire and therefore wireless, autonomous and portable.
We love fold out because it is an extremely versatile lamp: we can move it, take it from one location to another and place it wherever we want, as a supporting light and as a creator of atmospheres both inside the home and outdoors.
We really like the effect that fold out produces in the dark, when the perforated metal sheet of its structure allows light to filter out, generating different atmospheres and transmitting sobriety, transparency and elegance around it.
In addition, its led is dimmable, so we can adapt that intensity to the amount of light we want at any given time using a practical remote control, or with the dimmer switch on the base.
We can place fold out on the ground, on the grass... Or on the surface of a piece of furniture or shelving, or on the terrace, porch, garden, pool area, 'chill-out' area or a motorhome.

ANDREA GELPÍ (BLAUMEL STUDIO)
(Barcelona, 1991)
She studied product design at EINA University Center of Design and Art of Barcelona.
Later, she decided to expand her knowledge in the field of furniture by pursuing a master’s degree at Elisava Barcelona School of Design and Engineering.
During the master’s program, she met Iratxe González de Viñaspre, and together they later designed the Ophelia table lamp.
She has extensive work experience in different companies, studios and brands in the areas of packaging, facades, product design and lighting design.
As a lighting designer, she has gained a deep understanding of light, as an intangible material that has the ability to transform spaces and evoke sensations.
In 2020 she founded her own project “Blaumel Studio”, a space for conceptualizing, creating, experiencing, and designing products with soul.

Fold out has a lithium-ion battery and the usb charger (not included) must be 5v 2a. Once charged, its autonomy at full brightness is of more than 6 hours.

The inner shade is a PMMA hemisphere that houses an integrated 3W 290lm 3000K CRI>80 outdoor LED module, whose intensity can be dimmed in two ways: using an ON/OFF+Touch Dimmer switch located on the base, or with a remote control that is supplied with the lamp.
