With origins rooted in the sculptural tree canopies surrounding our Cornish design studio, our new collection of steam bent, ash wood storage and accessories celebrates the strength, versatility and unique character of this sustainable natural material, whilst showcasing forward-thinking design at it’s very best.
The multipurpose Tor Twist Shelf is carefully sculpted from tonal ash wood, gently twisting in the centre and elevating itself above three brushed brass tipped wooden pegs.

Eco-friendly natural oil blend, matt finish Finished with a blend of natural wax oils to give a protective, hardwearing and beautiful finish.
DETAIL
This versatile piece can either be left or right aligned to suit your space and looks just as compelling alone or in a pair, sitting perfectly in a kitchen or hallway to house your everyday essentials.
CARE
-Finish : The blend of natural oils can take up to four weeks to harden fully. Because of this, particular care should be taken in the first few weeks after delivery before cleaning, see below.
-Care : Solid wood may expand and shrink with differences in temperature and humidity so take care not to place your furniture directly next to anywhere with excessive changes in temperature such as radiators and windows.
-Cleaning : To clean on a regular basis wipe the surface with a damp cloth before removing any moisture with a dry cloth. Wipe off anything that will stain straight away, eg red wine, balsamic vinegar, oil, tea, coffee, alcohol, etc. In the event of severe spillages and stains the surface can be lightly re-sanded and re-oiled - please talk to us or a professional furniture restorer before doing so

This product is designed and crafted using innovative methods and components that are easy to dismantle for repairing, re-using or recycling if needed. These circular design methods give us the tools to prevent the creation of waste and pollution right from the start.

Everything produced by the Tom Raffield team is handcrafted locally at our BREEAM Excellent workshop and studios in Cornwall, UK. Renewable energy is sourced from solar panels and any additional energy comes from a 100% renewable supplier who invest in future technologies.

Tom Raffield packaging is 100% plastic free. Sustainably sourced cardboard is, and has always been, used to package goods ready for dispatch as well as recycled papers, labels and bespoke-made packaging by local Cornish company, Flexi-hex, all of which is widely recyclable and compostable.
