Frag Riviera Lounge Chair
RIVIERA LOUNGE CHAIR
RIVIERA LOUNGE CHAIR
Designed by Dainelli Studio
Riviera is a lounge chair which displays hints of modernism in its use of metallic tubing, while a contemporary, decorative influence is provided by the burnished brass finish and the combination of the leather-upholstered cushions and the saddle leather on the seat and back.
The tubular frame consists of several rectangles forming the base, armrests and the supporting structure to which the hammock-shaped saddle leather seat is attached.
DESIGNERS
DAINELLI STUDIO
Dainelli Studio was founded in 2007 by Leonardo and Marzia Dainelli, a pair of designers and architects who specialize in product design and interior design, respectively.
The studio - based in Milan - was initially born in Pisa, in the heart of Tuscany, where Leonardo and Marzia have lived and worked for more than 12 years. The nature, marble quarries, culture and craftsmanship know-how characteristic of this region mark a strong imprint in the studio's design style.
Dainelli Studio carries out interior projects for public and private spaces and has collaborations to its credit with prestigious companies in the world of furniture including: Arketipo, Fendi Casa, Fiam, Frag, Fratelli Boffi, Gallotti&Radice, Gebrüder Thonet Vienna, Giorgetti, Lema, Londonart, Mogg and Porada.
The continuous aesthetic and formal research, a hallmark of Dainelli Studio, is embodied in a refined design, attentive to proportions, harmony between shapes, colors, materials and finishes. Each project, in fact, brings with it a deep design culture combined with knowledge of industrial and artisan production techniques and processes.
The ability to converse at the same time with both the environment and the individual product -thanks to the different know-how of Leonardo and Marzia- allows to give life to every element necessary for the construction of a fully customized project: from the single object created to measure up to the total look of a complete habitat.

Therefore, possible folds or non-uniformities of dyeing and/or aspect, must be not considered flaws but rather unique features of this article. Batch to batch chromatic variations must be considered normal and are to be evaluated with the usual tolerance of this type of fabric.

41 TETI FABRIC (REV.00)
FRAG 41 TETI is a regenerated cotton canvas, now very fashionable especially in the countries of northern Europe. It has a false plain and a salt and pepper color effect given by the particular weave which, due to the finishing, acquires a very soft and natural hand as a final effect. Made from recycled materials.
43 ERIS FABRIC (REV.00)
FRAG 43 ERIS is a plain fabric constituted of a base of natural linen viscose in all variants which gives it a very natural look; woven with a very fine acrylic chenille colored in different variations. Due to the type of yarns used, it maintains the natural aspect of linen and the resistance of acrylic yarn while remaining in the very affordable price category.
44 ARIEL FABRIC (REV.00)
FRAG 44 ARIEL is a piece-dyed chenille fabric with a linen viscose warp and a chenille weft also made of linen viscose. After dyeing, it has a melange effect. In addition, the slub of the warp yarn creates a vertical striped effect that distinguishes it from normal piece-dyed fabrics.
50 STEELCUT TRIO 3 FABRIC (REV.00)
50-STEELCUT TRIO 3 is a hardwearing woollen upholstery fabric with the same construction as Steelcut. The three-dimensional surface of Steelcut Trio can resemble small pyramids or steel points. Despite the complexity of the innovative weave, this fabric has a simple and precise expression. Steelcut Trio is yarn-dyed and made of 3 differently coloured yarns.
51 MAPLE FABRIC (REV.00)
51-MAPLE is aero-finished and therefore features an extremely soft touch. Maple is made of three tone-in-tone coloured yarns. The viscose used in the composition gives it a distinctive shimmer, that deepens according to the light and the perspective of the viewer. Maple is woven with a chenille yarn and has a soft pile that reveals the structure of the weave. Foreign fibres and small clusters of colour may appear on the fabric surface adding a slightly irregular casual expression.
52 DIVINA FABRIC (REV.00)
52-DIVINA is available in sophisticated rich colours which reveal hidden depths as the perspective of the viewer changes, making a strong colour statement. In addition, thanks to its smooth, directionless and consistent surface, it complements the shape of furniture very well and is ideal for organically shaped furniture. Divina MD’s full-bodied and subtle structure is ideal for bringing an extensive range of tones to life. Its colourways, which are all crafted from a blend of different tones, appear unicoloured from a distance, but reveal different colour nuances under closer examination. Suitable for soft seatings for both contract and private use.
53 CANVAS FABRIC (REV.00)
53-CANVAS is a vibrant woollen upholstery fabric. Particularly well-suited for large surfaces thanks to its pronounced structure, it features a soft weave and an expanded palette inspired by the landscapes of Skagen, Denmark. The melange yarn used to craft Canvas combines three colours with six hues in every colourway. Consequently, the fabric offers exceptional colour richness and an intriguing expression. From a distance, it has the calm surface of a unicoloured textile, but at a closer glance it shimmers with colour nuances, delicate contrasts as an elegant structure emerges.
54 MELANGE NAP FABRIC (REV.00)
54-MELANGE NAP is a woollen upholstery fabric distinguished by exceptional depth of colour and surprising details. It offers a distinctively unique melange expression. Extremely soft yet durable, Melange Nap appears to be brushed. It is constructed with a unicoloured and a melange yarn, that creates a graphic pattern of tiny dots that play across its surface. The volume of details that emerge from the surface depends on the contrast between the yarns. Some of the darker colourways almost appear unicoloured whereas others have an intriguing multi-coloured look.
55 REWOOL FABRIC (REV.00)
55-REWOOL crafted using 45% recycled wool is a rich upholstery fabric with a sustainable profile. It create a both honest and environmentally friendly – textile with a poetic feel by recycling leftover material. 56 HALLINGDAL FABRIC (REV.00)
56-HALLINGDAL is a very durable upholstery fabric and is made of wool and viscose, which complement each other well: the wool provides excellent durability and flexibility, while the viscose adds brilliance and depth to the colour. Both materials are dyed before they are spun, which highlights the rich texture of the fabric.
57 FOSS FABRIC (REV.00)
57-FOSS is an upholstery textile with a vibrant yet simple expression and it unites natural and man-made materials. Three to four different melange or unicoloured yarns – in different thicknesses – are combined in each colourway. The shiny viscose and thick linen yarns give the surface of Foss a subtle shimmer. Foss also has a tactile feel, in addition to its sophisticated lustre. Though it is primarily made of wool, it offers the tactile dry touch usually associated with pure linen textiles.
60 SIRIO
FRAG 60 SIRIO is made using a complex textile technique that allows the interweaving of threads of different sizes both in warp and in weft. This technique derives from the skillful and ancient technique of weaving carpets, in which a fine thread was used as a basic grid, and a larger one as a color and design effect. This yarn features “flames”, which create a three-dimensional appearance on the surface of the fabric together with a construction that recalls the classic “basketweave”.
61 TEDDY
Is made through the use of Jacquard looms that allows to create the characteristic weave of this article. This type of weave creates an irregular surface that masks the classic orthogonal weft and warp effect typical of fabrics. The wool blend weft yarn used enhances this effect even more making it three-dimensional, "swollen", intertwining with a fine warp composed of two yarns: one smooth in cotton and one "flaming", in viscose and linen that help to "move ” visually the fabric.
62 LIRA
Is a heavy mixed linen & cotton canvas. Its extremely tight structure and the linen flamed weft give to this fabric an irregular but balanced movement creating valuable shades of light in it.
