TIKONA TABLE | EXTENDING
The Tikona table is a handmade extending table with a very special frame and leg detail, available in several sizes. Made of solid oak or walnut, the legs on one end roll out to extend the table.
This is an important detail of the extension mechanism because it means that when the extension leaf is in use, all your seating is BETWEEN the two legs and no one has to sit around a table leg.
The small table has a centre extension – the table top pulls apart to reveal the stored 50cm leaf and the larger tables have a front extension. The front extension means that you will not see a split in the table top when the leaf is not in use.

Care
TABLETOP
Solid wood can expand and contract with seasonal changes in air moisture. This expansion can affect the level of the leaf and the tabletop, as can a floor that isn't level. The leaf levellers can be raised or lowered to compensate for the difference between the tabletop and the leaves. Clever and simple!
SOLID WOOD CARE
We recommend Osmo spray wash for daily care. Regular oiling will provide protection and keep your table looking great. Please note: wood can expand and contract with seasonal changes in air moisture. This expansion can affect the level of the leaf and the extending tabletops, as can a floor that isn't level.
Extending leaves are fit with plastic levellers that can be raised/lowered to help compensate for any discrepancy between the tabletop and the leaves.
