Wall-mounted or freestanding bookcase with lacquered shelves in laminated MDF sandwich.
The frame is made of powder-coated die-cast aluminum spindles. Feet designed for floor mounting, required for safety reasons.
DESIGNER
JOSEPH BAVUSO
An architect and designer, he lives and works in Seregno. In his projects, he combines the rigor of an almost minimalist style with extensive technical research, through the skillful use of technological and innovative materials.
His early professional experiences saw him designing major projects in various sectors, ranging from architecture to the interior design of large common spaces, the automotive industry, and train and sleeping car interiors.
Since 1986, he has been designing for biomedical equipment companies through his own Product Design studio.
His encounter with Bruno Munari, a great intellectual with an unparalleled gift for synthesis, was crucial from the beginning of his career.
This encounter was both enlightening and fundamental, profoundly shaping his approach to design and his approach to the profession.
In the furniture sector, he collaborates with several internationally renowned companies as a designer and art director, overseeing the entire product process, from concept to engineering, all the way through to communication.

DETAIL
JAZZ, inspired by the musical genre that gives it its name, is a modular bookcase in aluminum and wood designed to add rhythm to contemporary living spaces. A series of perfectly connected tapered elements emerge from a 38 cm deep base of variable lengths, seemingly emerging spontaneously from the top and spreading upward, like tree branches in opposite and unexpected directions, until they disappear and merge with the upper shelf.

STRUCTURE
Developing a play of overlapping elements up to the desired height, the rungs act as buttresses, lending the whole structure a striking stability, satisfying the most diverse design needs of architects and interior designers. JAZZ can be fixed to the floor or to the wall and can be used either as a freestanding divider or as a wall-mounted bookcase.

Designed by Giuseppe Bavuso with a circular economy in mind, JAZZ is composed of three elements – die-cast aluminum uprights, chipboard shelves, and concealed stainless steel joints – all easily disassembled and completely recyclable.
