The valentina up collection maintains the informal and carefree character of the award-winning original designs.
Its spacious cushions, filled with polyurethane and memory foam rubber, are still the main element of this outdoor furniture, now with added v-shaped iron rod legs that make getting up and sitting down even easier.
“The idea of raising the chaise, sofa, and lounge chair with legs was the response to a need. This type of furniture is more comfortable at a certain height, sitting down is easier”, comments its creator, alejandra gandía-blasco.

Alejandra gandía-blasco is the assistant director of gandia blasco group’s communication.
She graduated in fine art and then completed her training in design and communication at central saint martins in london. She is an interdisciplinary creative, her work is based from visual arts and collective memory applied to the design of everyday objects and communication.
“More than beautiful and well-done things, I am interested in ideas and experiences. The rest is taken for granted. It is a challenge to rethink the objects and the reality that surrounds us with sufficient critical capacity”.

The chicest Diabla Outdoor lounger thus stands on its new legs, creating an attractive and elegant item of outdoor furniture designed with the minimum amount of elements. With its simple design and refined lines, the Valentina Up chaise lounge puts into practice the “less is more” principle of architect and designer Mies Van der Rohe.
