OUR CUSHIONS
Our cushions are developed in our Danish sewing studio to add extra comfort and fit perfectly into each piece of furniture. For our indoor cushions, we use high-quality foam that keeps its shape and ensures optimal comfort. These are presented in a selection of high-quality fabrics with a wear resistance of minimum 20.000 Martindale.

DETAIL
Rattan is a strong and extremely durable natural material which means that our furniture can last for generations. Sika-Design uses carefully selected rattan to ensure the highest quality and all our furniture is handmade by skilled wicker makers. Rattan is often compared to bamboo, but unlike bamboo which is hollow, rattan is massive and therefore remarkably strong.

Solid rattan stronger than bamboo
ORIGINALS | RATTAN
This furniture is handcrafted in rattan, which is one of the most sustainable materials available for furniture manufacturing. Rattan is often confused with bamboo, but unlike hollow bamboo, rattan is a solid material. This makes rattan furniture very durable, and able to last for generations. When steamed for 10-15 minutes, rattan can be formed by hand using old traditional manufacturing techniques and a few simple tools.
Rattan comes in 600 different variants and at Sika-Design we only use the two best qualities called Tohiti and Manau.
MAINTENANCE
Rattan requires no maintenance but can be wiped with a lightly dampened cloth if needed.
