The characteristic light and sophisticated style trait of italian-danish duo gamfratesi inspires raphael: a new way of designing the living space thanks to the use of single furnishing pieces with refined tailoring, capable of becoming protagonists of the space, and expressing the same comfort as traditional modular seating systems.
Three sofa variants, four types of armchairs, two dining little armchairs and two footstools, all conceived as adaptable to smaller domestic contexts, while still meeting the high demands of decorators and interior designers.

Minotti and GamFratesi began collaborating in 2018. The design of GamFratesi, architecture firm established in 2006 in Copenhagen by Italian-Danish duo Enrico Fratesi and Stine Gam, is rooted in the perfect fusion of tradition and innovation, craftsmanship and technology, rigour and poetry.
With their different cultural backgrounds, Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi model their creative intuitions into designs that draw from both the classic decor and artisan tradition of Denmark and the classic Italian intellectual and conceptual approach.
A tried and tested melting pot of styles, expressed in furniture, objects, and installations with a silent elegance, in the production techniques used and in the meticulous attention to detail applied to the creations.
The result is a sophisticated interpretation of Scandinavian minimalism, with many subtle, yet striking Nordic hints. In 2019, GamFratesi designed two indoor proposals for Minotti, namely the Angie and Shelley seats.
The partnership was strengthened in 2020 with the launch of the Fynn family of seats in indoor and outdoor versions, and continued in 2021 with the Lido seats for indoor and Lido Cord Outdoor for open-air spaces, together with the Patio seating system, which inspired Patio Teak - the version with the wood base created for the 2022 Collection.
The following year, the duo created the Raphael seats, while for the 2024 Collection they developed the Vivienne family and the Kendall armchair: enveloping shapes that express great comfort, fitting seamlessly into any living environment. The Daylight modular seating system, enriched with swivel armchairs and loveseats, is also debuting for open-air spaces.

In aluminium coated in fire-resistant polyurethane foam and covered in heat-bonded fibre laminated to white hypoallergenic cotton fabric to lend extra softness. Seat with mattress pad in high-resilience variable-density polyurethane foam covered with synthetic hypoallergenic fibre. Two zippers located under the seat where the belt ends meet facilitate removal of the upholstery.

In solid ash with kiln-dried open-pore Licorice colour lacquer finish. Crafted on CNC machines. The wood legs are attached to a metal frame varnished polished Pewter colour with anti-fingerprint finish, fastened to the structure. Equipped with black protective felt slides or black polyethylene glides.

DETAIL
The result is a furnishing piece with classic forms reinterpreted in a modern key. The armchairs are also available with a swivel four-spoke die-cast aluminium base in Bronze or polished Pewter. Each individual element of the family has its own identity and silhouette. The sofas are available in three variants: linear, semi-curved and asymmetrical semi-curved, the latter animated by the series of sinuous lines given by the backrest, punctuated by a gentle change of heights.
FOAMS
Organic forms, with generous and cosy proportions, are enhanced by sophisticated upholstery that masterfully interprets its distinctive sinuous lines. The Raphael sofas and armchairs stands on the floor on modern feet in die-cast Bronze or polished Pewter aluminium or Licorice-stained ash, the design of which adapts to the morphology of the seating shapes.
SWIVEL BASE
In cast aluminium varnished polished Pewter or Bronze colour with anti-fingerprint finish, 360° swivel movement with return. Equipped with black protective felt slides or black polyethylene glides.
CUSHIONS
Seat cushion in high-resilience, variable-density polyurethane foam, then encased in breathable fibre laminated to white hypoallergenic cotton fabric.
SEATING
The armchairs are characterised by their comfortable seating, not only in the larger model, but also in the smaller version and in the dining version, which is available both fixed, with legs in Licorice-coloured ash, and with a swivel four-spoke die-cast aluminium base in Bronze or polished Pewter.
SHAPE
The details, shapes and overall aesthetics of Raphael make it a contemporary furnishing piece with a timeless character, designed to meet the different situations of everyday life: from moments dedicated to relaxation to those conceived for conviviality, from hospitality occasions to the more intimate ones of domestic life.
