No matter how you turn it, gravity keeps the candle level. The perfectly balanced lantern features a gimbal-mounted tealight that can be quickly and safely lit with a match by tilting the glass tube slightly sideways.
To safely extinguish the candle, simply turn the lantern upside down and the glass cylinder is placed over the tealight, smothering the flame cleanly and smokelessly. In this inverted position, the tealight is also protected from the elements and leaves when not in use.

The secret behind gravity candle: the candle is suspended on a gimbal and always remains upright thanks to gravity. Simply light the wick directly in the glass tube with a match without worrying about your fingers. And when you're done?

SAFELY LIGHT & EXTINGUISH
It doesn't get any easier or safer: to light the gravity candle, simply tilt it slightly to the side and reach the wick without burning yourself. To extinguish it cleanly and safely, simply turn the candle upside down. The glass covers the flame, cutting off the oxygen supply and smothering the fire. No need to blow it out, and no splashes of wax or smoke!
THE CANDLE TAKES OFF
With its hanging solution, gravity candle takes off—indoors and outdoors. Mounted at the desired height in just a few simple steps, the floating version also allows the candle to be lit and extinguished safely. Even without a rope, gravity candle can be attached to a heat-resistant hook or nail.
