Nolita is a family of outdoor seatings which recalls the origins of a historic course started by Mario Pedrali in 1963 with his first metal garden chairs. Chaise longue with steel tube frame powder coated for outdoor use.
DESIGNER
MANDELLI PAGLIARULO
After a memorable university experience marked by friendship, experimentation, and social connection, we decided to dedicate our best energies to designing what we see as the ultimate catalyst for social interaction: the chair.
Simone Mandelli and Antonio Pagliarulo have been collaborating since their years at the Politecnico di Milano. They experimented across many industries before choosing furniture design as their main field of activity.
For them, the design process is comparable to the work of a film director: it involves many actors and professionals to bring to life an object that previously existed only in imagination.
This is achieved through drawing, collage, and the creation of study models and prototypes. In line with the etymology of the word, a project “throws forward” an idea and weaves a network of relationships among artisans, workers, and manufacturers who make it possible and give it life.
The collaboration between Mandelli and Pagliarulo and Pedrali has produced several bestsellers, whose innovative design has been recognized with international awards:
