TABLE LAMP RED BROWN BEIGE MARIE-ANN
TABLE LAMP RED BROWN BEIGE MARIE-ANN
Designed by Marie Michielssen
The Marie-Ann Table Lamp by Marie Michielssen features a slender base crafted from red-brown terracotta cast clay, paired with a tall, narrow linen lampshade.
The subtle fabric-wrapped 'iron cord' adds a nostalgic yet refined touch to this lighting piece. This blend of warm materials and elegant shapes give the table lamps an understatedly chic, timeless appeal.
DESIGNER
SEPPE VAN HEUSDEN
Designer Marie Michielssen has been an established member of the in-house design team at Serax for over 20 years. She has created countless designs inspired by and intended for everyday life.
Her designs have a strong focus on functionality, but because she only works with materials that have ‘soul’, this is in no way at the expense of the aesthetic of her work as each and every one of her designs clearly shows. Marie designs two collections a year for Serax.
Among her most iconic contributions to the Serax universe are three very different yet equally expressive collections. Pawn is a sculptural series of side tables with geometric silhouettes that double as stools, and is playful, modular, and full of personality.
Her Lighting collection ranges from ambient lights to statement pieces, handcrafted in ceramics and papier-mâché with a strong architectural presence.
Finally, La Mère, her tableware line, pays homage to the nurturing figure of the (grand)mother with hand-moulded shapes, nostalgic glazes and painted female portraits.
This approach also comes to life in her Urban Jungle ceramic plant pots, a collection defined by tactile forms, natural textures and everyday functionality.

PORCELAIN
Stoneware is a widely used material for tableware. Given the manual work involved in our production process, small differences in colour and irregularities often appear in the glaze. In our opinion, these imperfections contribute to the unique appearance of the stoneware. Every pot is different. Our stoneware can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
We recommend the use of regular washing tablets (and not 3-in-1 tablets) and a temperature of up to 65°C. Anti-scale salts (such as regeneration salt) and excessive temperatures damage the glaze.
Do not place the tableware too close to each other in the dishwasher to avoid minor vibration and collision damage that often leads to the beginning of larger breakage. We also recommend that stoneware and metal (such as pans and cutlery) be kept separate in the machine.
Indeed, dark scratches may appear on the stoneware after contact with metal. For the maintenance of decorative objects made from stoneware, we recommend that you dust them with a damp cloth.
