NOMAD CHAIR
NOMAD CHAIR
Designed by Sebastian Jørgensen
The Nomad Chair is a rediscovered Scandinavian furniture classic.
It was originally inspired by the legendary Roorkhee Chair, which was made for British military officers stationed in India.
Being true to its origins, the Nomad Chair is a field chair that can be assembled or dissembled in a matter of seconds making it highly portable and perfect for the modern-day nomadic lifestyle.
Designer
SEBASTIAN JØRGENSEN
Danish furniture designer Sebastian Jørgensen believes that successful furniture should be intuitive and require minimal explanation and he excels in designing unpretentious furniture with nods to classical design, focusing on honest functionality and visual expression.
Sebastian's furniture design started with a practical chair for his daughter, embodying seamless integration into everyday life.
The design process often involves subtracting rather than adding, resulting in products with clear and self-evident forms.
Formerly an artist, Sebastian draws inspiration from his refined work methods, now transformed into a way of viewing the thought process from concept to object.
