THORVALD SC94 OUTDOOR SIDE CHAIR
THORVALD SC94 OUTDOOR SIDE CHAIR
The Thorvald Collection celebrates outdoor living with sculpted silhouettes and an interplay of light and shadow.
It’s a modern take on the lyrical lines of Denmark’s most esteemed neoclassical artist, Bertel Thorvaldsen and the mesmerising motifs of his eponymous museum.
The steel frame and grid seating of the stackable side chair sets the scene for an elegant, versatile series.
Inspired by Copenhagen’s vibrant atmosphere, it’s ideal for any city in the world, and your invitation to pause, enjoy a chat, a drink or a memorable moment under the open sky.
DESIGNER
SPACE COPENHAGEN
Established in 2005 by Signe Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rützou, Space Copenhagen is a design studio working across multiple disciplines from furniture, lighting and refined objects, to art installations, art direction and interior design for private homes, hotels and restaurants all over the world.
The studio’s intuitive practice embodies designs that are distinctively shaped by the given circumstances, functional needs, and a fundamental interest in human behavior.
Through an open dialogue, Space Copenhagen’s works distil their sense of and belief in slow aesthetics that centre around quality and longevity. In addition to their multifaceted repertoire, Space Copenhagen continuously substantiates their roster of high-end interiors at an international level, following their design of the interior landscape of Toranoman Hills Hotel in Tokyo and its accompanying restaurant – Le Pristine.
